As 2024 draws to a close, we find ourselves at the start of a long and exciting journey for Exponential Science and our growing community. This has been a year of building strong foundations, clarifying our vision, and laying the groundwork for the future. In tandem, we have been making tangible impacts through research publications, funding initiatives, policy engagement, and launching new ventures.

The official launch of Exponential Science took place during the P2PFISY workshop in Dubai. This signature event, run in collaboration with VARA, celebrated a decade of excellence and convened thought leaders from around the world to discuss peer-to-peer and decentralised financial systems. Exponential Science's mission is to drive scientific advancements that invent the technologies of tomorrow while investing in deep-tech innovations that will shape the companies of the future. This pivotal moment underscores our commitment to exploring the convergence of blockchain and other key technologies that are defining our shared future.

Everything begins with a strong scientific foundation. Our Science Fellows, a group of world-renowned professors in law, financial economics, and computer science, spearhead our research initiatives and lay the groundwork for groundbreaking innovations.

In 2024, we maintained our commitment to scientific excellence and ended the year by introducing the Exponential Science Pioneers Award. Our research footprint expanded with the publication of numerous academic publications, discussion papers and consultation documents. Alongside these endeavours, we broadened our platforms for disseminating scientific knowledge through articles and educational materials as well as seminars and workshops.

We introduced several new initiatives this year, including the MiCA Crypto Alliance, which showcases our technical expertise and leverages our expanding regulatory technology stack, while also utilising the world's largest and most scrutinised crypto climate data set.

We funded the technology behind the DeRec Alliance and launched the DLT Climate Hackathon via DLT Earth to bolster our work in blockchain and sustainability.

Our venture arm is developing exciting new initiatives, including Nodiens, a groundbreaking Web3 risk-metrics platform designed to map and measure financial, social, and ESG risks associated with digital assets. We have also expanded our effort into other projects related to RWA tokenization, legal tech, edutech, and cross-border payments, to name a few.

We have forged partnerships with leading industry organisations, strengthened our dialogue with NGOs, regulators and governments, and deepened our commitment to open-source innovation. Notably, we joined the Linux Foundation and played a key role in establishing the Linux Foundation Decentralised Trust initiative.

Approaching 2025, we are excited to share some of our ambitious plans for the future. From expanding our research initiatives to exploring the convergence of blockchain with AI and other deep tech to strengthening collaborations with global partners, we aim to push the boundaries of innovation and impact.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to each of you for your support, with special gratitude to our main partner, Hedera, for its forward-thinking vision. And we invite you to join us in pushing the boundaries of science, technology, convergence, and decentralisation.

Wishing you a joyful holiday season and a prosperous year ahead.
