HelloFuture Live

On 8th October 2023, DSF Chairman Paolo Tasca made his way to the city of Los Angeles in the US to speak at the  launch of the HelloFutureLive event - amazingly put together by Elisabeth Chase. In essence, this was an incredible celebration of the increasingly growing Hedera ecosystem and creative economy utilising a wide range of Hedera’s native DLT services.

Brought to a local audience live from the Los Angeles Arts District, the packed agenda saw popular names from the community appear in support, including:

  • Jim Nasr and Ashley MacWhirter (Acoer)
  • Dr. Leemon Baird and Mance Harmon (Swirlds Labs)
  • James Dunthorpe and Niall Greenwood (Neuron World)
  • VCCEZY and guests from music industry (SIKI)

On the whole, a wonderful gathering of unique artistic ability, entertainment, and real-world application of Hedera’s mission in spreading the use of DLT to all corners of the earth.

HK Fintech Week

On 5th November 2023, Paolo Tasca joined one of the biggest conferences for FinTech leaders in the world during Hong Kong Fintech Week! This year there were more than 30,000 people in attendance and an estimated 5.5 virtual viewers spread out across Asia, Europe, North America, LATAM, and the MENA regions. On 3rd of November, sitting in front of a crowd inside the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, Paolo shared his critical insights on the future of blockchain innovation as 2023 came to an end.

Although there were many heads of traditional companies in the space, it was invigorating to see how much attention wasbeing drawn on the importance of creating new modes of digital payments for consumers around the world for withdrawing and using their secured funds. Similarly, the undertone of the entire conference was the adoption of blockchain and web3.0 applications, and in particular, the R&D leaps encountered across sectors to accommodate aspects of custody, tokenisation, and security. Other notable updates include the launch of phase 2 of e-HKD pilot programme, as well as AI startup Libertify winning the Global Fast Track competition.
