Crypto Regulation and Sustainability Analyst

Role overview

We are looking for a dedicated analyst interested in conducting research on crypto regulation and crypto sustainability, and supporting Exponential Science activities in these two fronts. Your focus will be in supporting existing streams of research into crypto asset regulation, particularly in relation to the implementation of the EU Markets in Crypto Assets Regulation (MiCAR), and into cryptocurrency energy consumption, carbon footprint, and other sustainability indicators.

Key Responsibilities

• Data collection and identification of data sources.
• Data collation, cleaning and organisation.
• Preparation of summary documents and slides.
• Literature reviews and selection.
• Elaboration of reports.
• Scheduling of meetings with partners and prospective clients.
• Other tasks as requested by the line manager.

Skills & Qualifications

We are looking for highly motivated individuals, with a “can-do” attitude and the willingness and ability to dive into a topic and learn the necessary skills. We strive for excellence, and want to work alongside like-minded individuals who strive to go above and beyond. In this context, the following competencies are considered a plus:

• Experience conducting research or in research assistant roles.
• An interest in sustainability and/or policy.
• Education degrees in law, political science, international relations, economics, computer science, or sustainability-focussed programmes.
• Excellent command of the English language.
• Experience writing academic papers and/or market reports.
